Arvon Creative Writing Residential 2025

Creative writing is an essential aspect of the A Level coursework unit. The course would also enhance students' literacy and writing skills, develop their independent learning and would be beneficial to their confidence as writers. It will also give many students an opportunity to make a portfolio of work which is needed if they apply to any Creative Writing, Journalism courses, and Combined courses which include writing modules.It is run by the Arvon Foundation who have an excellent, long standing reputation. The students would stay at a historic house with literary connections, in Devon, and be taught by two published authors, and experience a reading by another author. The same trip in October 2023 was a great success. All the students found the experience inspiring, highly enjoyable, and it increased confidence and gave them strategies to maintain good well-being.
